How we rank airport transfer companies

Every company is scored out of 100 using the same rules, from facts we verify on its own website and its public Google listing.

Methodology version 1.0, updated 13 Oct 2026

The score

CriterionPointsHow it is scored
Price (standard route)25One-way price from the airport to the city-centre reference point in a standard car (sedan, 1–3 passengers, daytime). Converted to EUR for comparison only. The cheapest ranked company gets full points, the most expensive gets none, and the rest are spaced in between.
Google rating20Public Google rating on the company's own listing. 3.5★ or lower scores 0; 5.0★ scores full points, linearly in between.
Review volume15Number of Google reviews on a logarithmic scale, capped at 1,000, so the difference between 10 and 100 reviews counts more than between 900 and 1,000.
Service extras15Meet & greet (5), child seats available (4), free cancellation (4), at least two payment methods (2).
Booking transparency15Fixed price shown online without requesting a quote (10), instant online booking (3), cancellation terms published (2).
Fleet range102 points for each vehicle class offered: standard car, van/minibus, premium, coach, wheelchair-accessible.

Who gets listed

We only list companies that score at least 50 out of 100, up to a maximum of 10. We publish a city only when at least 3 companies clear that bar.

Eligible companies are local operators with a working website and a verifiable presence in the city (a registered company or trade licence, or a public business listing). In some countries, including the Czech Republic, most transfer firms are legally registered as taxi-service intermediaries that dispatch licensed drivers. We treat a local brand that takes bookings under its own name and dispatches the rides as an operator. Global or multi-city booking marketplaces are not listed.

Rules we follow

  • A fact we could not verify scores 0 points for that part of the score.
  • Only genuine local operators with a working website and a verifiable local presence are eligible.
  • To be eligible, a company needs at least a verified price or a verified Google rating.
  • The price range is set by the ranked companies only, so a company that is scored but not ranked (such as a featured partner) cannot shift anyone else's score.
  • Featured or paid placement never changes a score or a rank.

How we collect the data

  • Prices, fleet, extras, payment and cancellation terms come from each company’s own website wherever possible.
  • Google rating and review count come from the company’s public Google Maps listing.
  • The sample price is one way from the airport to a fixed city-centre landmark in a standard car (1–3 passengers, daytime). If a company only publishes a “from” price without a route, we treat the price as unverified.
  • Every fact is stored with its source link and the date we checked it. Prices are converted to EUR only for comparison, using the European Central Bank reference rate.
  • We never estimate or fill in missing values. An unverified fact scores zero and is shown as “—”.
  • We do not publish reviews, quotes or ratings from third parties beyond the Google rating and review count.

Featured listings

A city page may show one clearly labelled featured listing above the comparison. Featured listings are promotional placements, kept separate from the ranking, and never change a score or rank. A company owned by or affiliated with the site owner is only ever shown as a featured listing, never in the ranked list.
